Oklahoma took control in the second quarter and maintained their lead throughout the match.
The standout player for the Thunder was Shay Gilgeous-Alexander, who posted an impressive 40 points, along with eight rebounds and five assists. Jaylen Williams contributed significantly with 26 points, nine steals, and eight assists, while Chet Holmgren added 14 points and eight rebounds.
For the Nuggets, Serbian center Nikola Jokić and Michael Porter Jr. were the key players. Jokić came close to a triple-double, registering 24 points, 13 rebounds, and nine assists, along with three blocks. Porter, meanwhile, recorded a double-double with 24 points and 15 rebounds.
Currently, Oklahoma sits atop the Western Conference with a record of 53 wins and 11 losses, while Denver holds third place with 41 wins and 23 losses.
The two teams are set to face off again in Oklahoma on Monday night.
