Europe and Civil Society in Montenegro: Moving Beyond a Puppet Government

Instead of staying quiet about the rising animosity and the daily emergence of fascism under their puppetry, the unsigned Europe Now Movement today accused the European Union of ‘importing criminals,’ according to the president of the SDP Central Committee and EU representative, Mirko Stanić.

This morning, the Europe Now movement demanded that the DPS and the European Union clarify “their involvement in importing criminals to maintain power.”

“Just as they didn’t put their names on the disgraceful montages they devised for NGO activists, no one today has the courage to stand behind this fabrication. It’s been a long year; when the current party crumbles, many from PES will need to find refuge again. This isn’t the first time for them, so it’s awkward for them to sign every statement. Naturally, when you have sold everything from beaches to airports to ‘sustain’ party activists, their families, godfathers, and friends, it’s prudent to revisit topics about Sky correspondence from 5-6 years ago. Let me reiterate for the citizens of Montenegro: not one of those messages names a single one of our members, officials, or political parties. Yet, many others are highlighted, including those who founded, supported, and financed PES. Those well-known messages will become the focus of the Prosecutor’s Office, and soon many of these ‘unsigned’ champions will find themselves in a settlement near Podgorica for an extended vacation,” Stanić stated.

He emphasized that the alliance fully supports the authorities in combating crime, particularly those referenced in the damaging Sky correspondence.

“A European and civic Montenegro cannot progress with a puppet government focused solely on extracting as much as possible from citizens and the state before fleeing to one of the countries without extradition to Montenegro. Just so you know, that plane won’t be large enough for everyone, and not all will be lucky enough to fit. Some will still end up under Velje Brdo,” remarked Stanić.
