The Berane police discovered and seized marijuana along with 28 pills classified as narcotics from individuals SG (46) and SK (84) from Rožaje.

Tests conducted on SG and SK for psychoactive substances revealed that both tested positive for cocaine and marijuana.

“The police officers carried out a routine check on these two individuals who were traveling in a vehicle driven by SG, with SK seated as a passenger. During the inspection, a small package containing green plant matter, suspected to be marijuana, was found in SG’s possession. Further searches revealed 30 clozapine tablets, 30 eftil tablets, and 24 lorazepam tablets, all listed as narcotic drugs, inside the vehicle. Subsequently, both individuals were tested for psychoactive substances, which confirmed the presence of marijuana and cocaine,” stated the Police Directorate.

The State Prosecutor at the Higher State Prosecutor’s Office in Bijelo Polje has indicated that criminal charges will be filed against SG and SK under the jurisdiction of the Basic State Prosecutor’s Office, on suspicion of facilitating the consumption of narcotic drugs. Additionally, a misdemeanor charge is expected against SK in the competent Court under Article 52 of the Law on the Prevention of Drug Abuse.
