Montenegro has been selected for the esteemed Wanderlust Travel Awards 2025 in the “Most Desirable European Destination” category, as announced by the National Tourist Organization (NTOCG).

The nomination originates from Wanderlust, a leading British travel magazine that has been advocating for authentic, responsible, and inspiring travel experiences for over thirty years.

“With a circulation of over 150,000 copies and more than 340,000 readers, along with a digital reach exceeding 1 million pages monthly, Wanderlust serves as a crucial resource for British travelers deciding on their next destination,” stated representatives from the NTO.

This isn’t the first recognition for Montenegro; in 2023, Wanderlust readers acknowledged it as one of the ten most popular emerging destinations worldwide.

“These accolades affirm that our country is gaining visibility in the global tourism market, particularly among travelers seeking genuine experiences, pristine nature, and a rich cultural backdrop,” added the NTOCG.

The awards ceremony will be held this year on November 5th at the National Gallery in London.

“We encourage you to support Montenegro and help enhance its reputation as an appealing destination. Vote in October 2025 at the following link: https://www.wanderlustmagazine.com/bout-us/our-awards/20025-vote/,” urged the NTOCG.
