The second opportunity, in the 85th minute, was brilliantly saved by Jan Oblak.

Atletico currently has 67 points, sitting in third place, nine points behind league leaders Barcelona, who also have a game in hand.

Alaves stands at 35 points, three points clear of the relegation zone, but also has a game in hand.
