If a single member of the Tender Commission overseeing the concession for the use of Podgorica and Tivat airports were to resign, it would necessitate the annulment of the entire procedure, preventing any bidder from being chosen for the current tender.

This was affirmed by Deputy Prime Minister and Chair of the Tender Commission, Nik Đeljošaj, during an interview with TV Vijesti.

He indicated that a new session will be scheduled for tomorrow to advance the evaluation of bids, as the Tender Commission must complete its work by June 9 and submit the report to the Ministry of Finance.

Đeljošaj mentioned that one commission member “verbally indicated” today that they intend to resign, although no official resignation has been submitted, expressing surprise over the report that the IFC consultant is withdrawing from the process.

“I have not received any such announcement,” Đeljošaj stated.

He expressed hope that the commission members will attend tomorrow’s session, and that they will present an offer acceptable to the Government.

“I doubt that any individual from the commission would take the responsibility to derail a process that has been ongoing for seven years. Such actions would be irresponsible towards the state,” emphasized Đeljošaj, underscoring the transparency of the entire process.

Additonally, he mentioned that the Tender Commission has not reviewed the financial aspects of the bids and that they have not received any submissions for Montenegrin airports from the Serbian Government.
