The Association Has Lacked Support from State Companies for Five Years

Today, the Assembly of the Handball Association approved the report detailing the association’s activities and operations, as presented by the Board of Directors’ President, Petar Kapisoda.

Kapisoda highlighted the ongoing collaboration with the Association’s long-standing sponsors and partners, noting the consistent and strong support received from the Ministry of Sports and Youth.

“It’s astonishing that the Alliance hasn’t received support from state-owned companies for five years,” remarked Kapisoda.

The Assembly members unanimously ratified the financial reports, the final account, and the audit findings regarding the Alliance’s financial activities for 2023.

The auditors provided a favorable assessment of the Association’s financial management, with no criticisms on any key financial aspects.

A confirmation from the Tax Administration was also presented, verifying that the Association has no tax or contribution obligations.

The Board of Directors accepted President Kapisoda’s proposal to appoint national team captain Mirko Radović as a new board member representing active players, following the retirement of Vasko Ševaljević, who previously became the director of the men’s national team.

Additionally, Milena Brajović, director of Voco Podgorica, has been appointed as a new board member.

The terms of the Arbitration Commission members were extended, and Miloš Lalević was added as a new member.

The Annual Work Plan for the upcoming year was also approved.

“The next year is set to be particularly demanding for the Federation in terms of organization, as Montenegro will host the European Championships for players aged 17 and 19. This is a remarkable achievement, marking the first time in history that the European Handball Federation (EHF) has entrusted a single country with organizing two championships in one year,” Kapisoda emphasized.

The session, led by Zorica Kovačević, saw the participation of 19 out of 30 delegates.
