This morning, the coalition “For the Future of Nikšić” officially invited the municipal committees of the Europe Now Movement and Democratic Montenegro to discuss the establishment of local government, as announced by New Serbian Democracy spokesperson Mirko Miličić.

“The invitation highlights the differing interpretations of various issues and the intention to form a new local government in a democratic manner, in alignment with the wishes of the citizens of Nikšić. Following earlier informal discussions, we are now formally inviting the local organization of the Europe Now Movement and representatives from Democratic Montenegro to engage in negotiations regarding the formation of local government in Nikšić, post the elections on April 13,” the statement indicates.

Miličić reinforced that the leader of the “For the Future of Nikšić” coalition list, Marko Kovačević, is fully authorized to negotiate with representatives of PES and Democrats on behalf of the coalition. He requested that the individuals appointed by the local party bodies coordinate with him regarding the venue and timing of meetings for discussions on forming a government in Nikšić.

“The citizens of Nikšić anticipate the responsible and friendly approach they have grown accustomed to during the previous mandate led by Marko Kovačević. I trust that all constituents of the new government will uphold the wishes and aspirations of the people of Nikšić,” stated the NSD spokesperson.
