Serbian President Aleksandar Vučić noted that those assembled at the rally in Belgrade on Saturday, March 15, are attempting to instigate a revolution, seize the Parliament, Radio Television of Serbia (RTS), and the Constitutional Court.
During a session of the Serbian Progressive Party (SNS) main board, Vučić warned that anyone engaging in violence would face imprisonment.
“We will allow them to express their bravado for five or six minutes. They will act boldly, throwing stones and using cannon fire. We will let them approach the Parliament and other locations, and then the state will demonstrate its authority and conclude the situation,” said the Serbian president.
According to him, no “normal and decent” person would attend the rally on March 15.
Students participating in the blockade have announced plans for a rally in Belgrade on Saturday, with academics and high school students from various regions starting their protest march towards the capital today.
Announced “the largest rally in Serbian history”
Vučić announced that a gathering of his supporters is scheduled in Belgrade on March 28, and that the formation of the Movement for the People and the State will commence on March 21.
He asserted it would be the largest gathering in Serbia’s history.
“We invite all workers, laborers, farmers, and honest individuals from Serbia to join the largest rally in our history on March 28 in Belgrade. Let all of Serbia come to Belgrade! From every corner of our country,” proclaimed Vučić.
