We denounce the Appeals Committee’s decision and will pursue actions against its members.

Football club Zeta has expressed its disapproval regarding the UK FSCG Centar Appeals Commission’s ruling, which mandates a replay of the 12th round match in the Regional League Center between Olimpik and Čelik.

Initially, Čelik triumphed over Olimpik with a score of 5:0, but the decision was later reversed to award the win to Olimpik due to Ljubo Kaluđerović, who was serving a suspension, playing for Čelik.

Following this, Čelik lodged an appeal, resulting in the Appeals Committee’s order to replay the match by April 30th.

Zeta contends that this decision egregiously contravenes legal regulations governing football and, through its arbitrary interpretation, inflicts significant harm on the club.

Below is the complete statement from Zeta, issued by the board president, Darko Čelebić:

“The Zeta Football Club vehemently condemns the UK FSCG Centar Appeals Commission’s decision to replay the 12th round football match between FK Olimpik and FK Čelik. This ruling blatantly disregards the legal frameworks that govern the sport and, through arbitrary interpretations, causes substantial damage to FK Zeta, which was a contender for promotion through the competition’s playoff system, reflecting its rightful position based on quality and its historic achievement as Montenegro’s first champions.”

In a span of two days, the “legal experts” of the Appeals Commission reviewed this unique case, took statements from involved parties, assessed their awareness of rule violations, and ultimately issued a disgraceful ruling that invalidates the lawful and factual decisions made by the UK FSCG Center Competition Commission. It appears these “legal wizards” might benefit from revisiting their foundational studies and understanding case law as a source of legal principles, ensuring uniform interpretation and resolution of similar cases.

The Zeta Football Club intends to file a Request for Protection of Legality concerning the UK FSCG Appeals Commission’s decision, citing various instances where previous expert Appeals Commissions rendered entirely different judgments than the current Commission.

We urge the entire football community to raise their voices against such rule violations, so that our football peers across Montenegro do not experience similar outcomes.

We will also be pursuing legal action against members of the UK FSCG Center Appeals Commission: Balša Srdanović, Štjefan Camaj, and Nikola Laković, for a decision that fosters chaos within Montenegrin football. Their ruling implies that any club could field a suspended player without repercussions, under the pretense of ignorance.

Furthermore, we call upon Mr. Risto Lakić, the president of the UK FSCG Center, to reflect on whether he has ever witnessed a match replayed at the behest of a team whose player had been suspended due to a two-match ban for receiving a red card.

“The Zeta Football Club is determined to reclaim its former prestige, irrespective of the circumstances. With hope for brighter days ahead for Montenegrin football, we extend our sincerest and most sportsmanlike regards to all,” concludes Zeta’s statement, signed by Darko Čelebić, the president of the club’s Board of Directors.
