Russia Bars Police and Inspectors from Construction Site, Issued €900 Fine

A 29-year-old Russian citizen, referred to as NS, was found guilty by the Budva Misdemeanor Court and fined 900 euros for obstructing police officers and a labor inspector from accessing a construction site in the Blizikuće area above Sveti Stefan.
This ruling was confirmed to “Vijesti” today by Judge Marko Đukanović, the President of the Minor Offences Court in Budva.
The defendant allegedly hindered officers from the Bar AD Border Police Station and E. Š., who were aiding state authorities in monitoring the movement and residency of foreigners, by blocking their entry to the construction site.
He reportedly refused to open the gate for the police officers and the labor inspector, MM, who was there to conduct the inspection, stating, “You can’t enter; who are you to come in? This is Sergej’s property; he has the key.”
Following the ruling, the defendant paid the fine immediately.
