Seven Days of Mourning in North Macedonia After the Kočani Tragedy

The government of North Macedonia is set to announce a seven-day mourning period during today’s session in light of the tragic events in Kočani.

According to Sloboden Pečat, an urgent and extraordinary inspection will be conducted at all nightclubs, discos, and restaurants that host parties.

Latest reports indicate that 59 individuals lost their lives in the fire that erupted at the “Puls” discotheque in Kočani.

Additionally, 155 individuals were injured and are currently receiving treatment in various hospitals across the nation.

Among the injured, 18 are reported to be in critical condition, as announced by the Ministry of Health of North Macedonia earlier.
