Serbia will persist in thoughtfully and convincingly highlighting the status of Serbs in Montenegro while advocating for their rights, identity, and cultural heritage, announced Serbian President Aleksandar Vučić today.

He mentioned on the social media platform Facebook that he welcomed the newly appointed Ambassador of Montenegro to Serbia, Nebojša Đoković, as he received his letters of credence today, wishing him a successful tenure.

“I am confident that through collaborative efforts we will enhance the relationship between our nations, grounded in the strong connections between the people of Serbia and Montenegro. Positive relations between our countries are fundamental to the stability and future of the region as a whole. We are open to genuine dialogue on all significant issues and eager to strengthen cooperation in the fields of economy, infrastructure, energy, and European integration. We are pleased with the establishment of direct payment transactions and the shared interest in joint projects that connect our two nations. Serbia will continue to candidly and effectively advocate for the status of Serbs in Montenegro, as well as their rights, identity, and cultural heritage. Together, through collaboration, mutual respect, and a shared vision of a common European future, we can contribute to a more stable and prosperous Western Balkans,” Vučić stated.
