The aviation summit in Krakow serves as an excellent platform to enhance collaboration with aviation authorities at the European level, as well as with EU institutions and international organizations, particularly in meeting the commitments towards membership, stated Ivan Šćekić, the Director of the Civil Aviation Agency.

“Montenegro is fostering partnerships in air transport,” Šćekić remarked following extensive discussions on the sidelines of the two-day summit in Krakow, which concludes today.

The CAA noted that the summit followed a meeting of the directors general of civil aviation from member countries of the European Civil Aviation Conference (ECAC), where accomplishments and future priorities were assessed.

“This two-day event, themed – Towards a safe, clean, and competitive European aviation, is crucial for high-level discussions concerning the challenges in air traffic, plans for the forthcoming period, and potential solutions,” the statement articulated.

Topics of discussion included traffic forecasts for the summer season, sustainable aviation fuels, new technologies, safety and security measures, as well as the restoration of air traffic in Ukraine.

The event, organized by Poland’s Civil Aviation Agency, saw participation from representatives of the European Commission (EC), international and European institutions, and the European Parliament (EP).
