The European Handball Federation (EHF) has released its latest ranking list, placing Montenegro at 14th position. Notably, Vlada Šola’s team shares the same points total (148) as Austria in 13th and Serbia in 15th.
The EHF emphasizes that this ranking will serve as the basis for determining qualification caps for the 2026 European Championship, indicating Montenegro’s strong competitive edge.
Currently, world champions Denmark top the list, followed by France, who recently claimed the European championship title. Sweden holds the third position, while the Top 10 is rounded out by Germany, Spain, Norway, Hungary, Iceland, Croatia, and Slovenia.
The most remarkable advancement on the EHF list came from the Faroe Islands, which jumped ten positions to reach 20th place, marking their debut at the recent European Championship.
