Congratulations to David Mirković, the Montenegrin basketball star, who has received an invite to the esteemed “Nike Hoop Summit,” set to take place in Portland on April 12.
The highlight of the event will feature a showdown between “Team USA” and “Team World.”
Since its inception in 1995, the “Nike Hoop Summit” has seen a plethora of global talents showcasing their skills.
Montenegro has previously been represented by Nikola Ivanovic in 2013, and although Dino Radoncic was invited in 2018, he was unable to participate due to obligations with Real Madrid.
Mirković will depart for Portland on April 5.
“I am filled with pride and joy. It’s a privilege to be among the top young basketball talents in the world and to be part of such an incredible event. I’m grateful to my family, teammates, and coaches, as I’ve grown and advanced thanks to their support,” Mirković shared.
At just 19 years old, Mirković plays for the SC Derby first team, averaging 8.8 points and 6.7 rebounds this season in the AdmiralBet ABA League.
In February, he made his debut for the senior Montenegrin national team, competing against Sweden in the EuroBasket qualifiers.
