This May, the Clinic for Dermatovenerology at the Clinical Center of Montenegro (KCCG) will conduct preventive dermoscopic examinations of moles, in recognition of the month dedicated to combating melanoma.

No referral from a selected doctor is needed for examinations, which will take place on May 8, 9, and 15, from 8 AM to 12 PM. Additionally, Euromelanoma Day will be observed on May 13, with preventive mole examinations scheduled from 3 PM to 6 PM.

Interested individuals can arrange an examination on May 6 and 7, from 1 PM to 2 PM and from 4 PM to 5 PM, by calling 450-020-412. The Clinical Center emphasizes that the number of examinations is limited.

On May 16, the Dermatovenerology Clinic will offer preventive mole examinations specifically for KCCG employees, conducting these from 2 PM to 4 PM, which marks the first organized initiative of its kind for healthcare workers at this institution.

The primary purpose of these preventive examinations is to enhance awareness regarding the prevention of malignant skin tumors and the importance of protection against UV radiation.

A press conference will be held at the Clinical Center on Thursday, May 8, starting at 10 AM. The following individuals will address the media: Medical Director of KCCG Đorđije Krnjević, Director of the Clinic for Dermatovenerology Mirjana Bakić, Dermatovenerologist-oncologist and National Coordinator of the Euromelanoma Campaign Ana Popović, Medical Oncologist from the Institute of Oncology Nada Cicmil, and Head of the Center for Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery Zoran Terzić.
