Female Cadets Reach Peak Performance After Day One of the Mediterranean Championship

The women’s cadet handball team of Montenegro secured a perfect score of 10 points on the first day of the Mediterranean Championship for players under 16, held in Podgorica.

Comprising athletes born in 2008 and 2009, the team recorded two wins: first, they overcame Italy in the morning match (22:15), then achieved a resounding victory over Kosovo with a score of 26:13 (8:4, 12:5, 6:4), earning five points for these results—one point for each of the three sets won and two points for the overall win.

Maša Ulićević led the scoring against Kosovo with seven goals, supported by contributions from 11 other players.

The national team is set to face Croatia on Tuesday at 12:45 p.m.
