The Budva Minor Offences Court has sentenced four individuals to 15 days of imprisonment each for operating vehicles under the influence of alcohol and opiates.
According to Marko Đukanović, the President of the Budva Minor Offences Court, RB (39) and LM (39) from Herceg Novi, along with IA (26) from Jagodina, were each found guilty in three separate expedited proceedings.
“The court established that the defendants were driving in Budva while under the influence of various drugs,” the announcement stated.
It was noted that these cases were adjudicated on Monday and Tuesday at the court’s location in Budva.
“In addition to the prison sentences, they have been prohibited from driving for four months and received the maximum number of penalty points. IA, who is a foreign national, has been directed to serve his sentence before the ruling is finalized,” the statement revealed.
Đukanović mentioned that on Monday, OS (34) from Budva received a 15-day prison sentence from the Kotor department for being caught driving in Kotor with a blood alcohol level of 2.49 per mille.
“The presiding judge in Kotor, Jelena Stanišić, ruled that he would be unable to drive for four months post serving his sentence,” Đukanović concluded.
