The event’s cult following is being carefully nurtured, and the Spring Bazaar serves as a testament to that.
This statement was made by the Mayor of Podgorica, Saša Mujović, during the inauguration of this year’s Spring Bazaar.
“Established in 2018, the Market was inspired by similar projects in European cities, gradually making its way into the hearts of the community. I aim for people to come together and connect, leaving their worries behind. This is why the Market holds significance for us and why we strive to meet our goals.”
Mujović expressed that due to past wars, Podgorica lacks buildings and monuments, stating, “No one can hinder our imagination.” He emphasized that the bazaar champions art and culture.
“The market serves as a hub for positive energy and all that beautifies Podgorica,” noted Mujović.
Following the opening ceremony, Marko Ćetković – Sounds of Titograda performed. Attendees were treated to popular tracks like “Lejla” and “Baš ti lijepo stoje suze” by the Bosnian pop-rock band Hari Mata Hari.
On Saturday, singer Jelena Rozga will delight all visitors at the bazaar.
The Spring Market will run until May 21st.
