Suspected Drug-Impaired Driver Strikes Pedestrian, Leaving Them in Critical Condition

Following a session at the Basic State Prosecutor’s Office (ODT) in Podgorica, MI has been placed in custody for up to 72 hours on suspicion of striking a pedestrian while operating a vehicle under the influence of cocaine, resulting in life-threatening injuries.
The individual is being held on allegations of committing a serious offense against public transport safety.
“The accused was operating a vehicle while under the influence of cocaine, during which his vehicle collided with pedestrian MR, who sustained severe, life-threatening injuries from the incident. This individual has a history of multiple convictions for offenses related to public traffic safety,” stated the Podgorica Public Prosecutor’s Office.
