“Arsenal Unfazed by Bernabeu Legends, Reaches First Semi-Final Since 2009; Inter Offers Solution for Bayern”

The “Santiago Bernabeu” has been witness to numerous memorable moments throughout its history, particularly in recent times. However, tonight this revered football arena in Madrid had no choice but to concede to the royal squad from North London.

Over the course of 180 minutes, Arsenal provided a masterclass for the European champions. Following a commanding 3-0 victory at the Emirates, they dispelled the “myths” surrounding the “Bernabeu,” celebrated once more with a 2-1 win, and advanced to the Champions League semi-finals for the first time since 2009.

In Milan, the excitement reached new heights as Inter tactically timed their goals, effectively defended their lead, and ultimately ousted Bayern Munich with a score of 2-2, after winning the first leg 2-1.

Arsenal will take on Paris Saint-Germain in the grand finale in Munich, while Inter sets up a classic clash with Barcelona.

Arsenal had not been involved in high-stakes matches like this for a significant period, but they remained unfazed by Real’s recent accomplishments. Mikel Arteta’s team maintained control throughout, even after Bukayo Saka’s penalty miss in the 13th minute, which was saved by Thibaut Courtois.

A well-organized defense rendered Real ineffective, and Arsenal seized their opportunity in the 65th minute when Saka converted a penalty following an assist from Mikel Merino.

The only misstep from Arsenal came from the most unlikely source; a moment of carelessness from William Saliba allowed Vinicius to equalize just two minutes later.

However, Arsenal remained undeterred, and Gabriel Martinelli netted in the 93rd minute to seal a 2:1 victory, bringing the aggregate score to 5:1.

Bayern, trailing 0-1 from the first leg at the “Meaci,” found the equalizer in the 52nd minute courtesy of Harry Kane. Yet, Inter turned the tide with two goals in a span of three minutes—Lautaro Martinez found the net in the 58th minute, followed by Benjamin Pavard in the 61st.

Bayern refused to back down, and equalized with another Englishman, Eric Dier, scoring a stunning header in the 76th minute.

The Bavarians had multiple chances to gain the lead in the closing stages, but Inter’s Italian resilience shone through to secure their place in the semifinals.

The quarterfinals are now concluded—Munich is on the horizon for Paris Saint-Germain, Arsenal, Barcelona, and Inter.

CHAMPIONS LEAGUE, quarter-finals

Real – Arsenal 1:2 (1st match 0:3)

Vinicius 67 – Saka 65, Martinelli 93.
