Montenegrin Female Cadets Experience Their First Loss

The women’s cadet handball team of Montenegro faced a defeat today against Croatia, ending with a score of 22:19 (6:7, 6:8, 10:4) in the third round of the Mediterranean Championship for girls under 16 held in Podgorica.

This marks the first loss for the Montenegrin handball players in the championship after two initial wins against Italy and Kosovo.

The team, coached by Miloš Perović and Bobana Krstović, managed to earn two points in the first two thirds before falling to Croatia’s superior performance in the last third.

Croatia prevailed in the final segment, securing the victory and earning three points.

Anđelina Orbović led the Montenegrin team with six goals, while Maša Ulićević and Martina Knežević contributed three goals each.

The Montenegrin national team is set to compete against Spain in the next round, scheduled for tomorrow at 12:45 p.m.
