The Vice President of the Freedom and Justice Party (SSP), Marinika Tepić, shared a photo from March 15 that appears to depict an LRAD 450XL sound cannon from Genasys on a Serbian Gendarmerie jeep near the House of the National Assembly in Belgrade, according to N1.
This image, posted by Marinika Tepić on the social platform Xks, was taken from a building on Vlajkovićeva Street in Belgrade. It shows law enforcement positioned around the National Assembly Building amidst a student-led protest at Nikola Pašić Square.
“On the right, a gathering of students and citizens. On the left, police with a sound cannon mounted on a jeep near the National Assembly of the State of Serbia,” Tepić remarked.
The SSP vice president claimed that the government has put lives at risk.
“They have deployed sound equipment across the city. They vacated the Serbian Parliament to freely park the LRAD 450XL vehicles,” she asserted.
She also mentioned that she would reveal “the full extent of the regime’s monstrosities and the weapons they have acquired against the citizens of Serbia” at a press conference scheduled for 1 PM.
Since the morning, social media users have been sharing images from various angles, showcasing a police vehicle that appears to be outfitted with a sound cannon.
During the March 15 protest, a moment of silence for victims of a canopy collapse was abruptly disrupted by a stampede on King Milan Street, triggered by what witnesses described as a loud approaching noise, possibly from a vehicle or aircraft.
