Bojana Gojković and Tomislav Bato Đinović claimed gold medals at the international boxing tournament Le Sentjur (Les Ceintures) held in Paris.
The Budva boxer and member of the Montenegrin national team, Gojković, triumphed over French competitor Marianne Dantan by unanimous decision in the final of the 57-kilogram category. She secured her place in the final by defeating Lucy Pauli in the semifinals.
Meanwhile, Đinović from BK Zlatičanin also showcased dominance by winning the final in the 60 kg category, overcoming Italian Manuel Cucci by unanimous decision.
In the quarterfinals, he defeated Italian Brian Abattaglia by unanimous decision and secured the gold medal after stopping Frenchman Lee Belhassel in the second round.
Coach Nikola Ružić expressed his confidence in Đinović and Gojković’s readiness but noted that their performances in the finals surpassed his expectations.
“As the tournament unfolded, they continued to improve, advancing technically, mentally, and physically with each match. Their performances in the gold medal bouts were outstanding—exactly when it mattered most. That’s what true champions do—excel in the toughest moments,” Ružić remarked.
He emphasized that the primary focus remains on the World Cup in September in Liverpool.
“Winning a tournament during our preparations boosts our confidence, but we know the real challenge lies ahead. This adds momentum and motivation to be in peak condition come September when it truly counts,” Ružić added.
