“We Let in Goals Too Easily; There’s No Time for Reflection”

The Montenegro water polo team faced a challenging match today, losing to Serbia in the second round of the World Championship with a score of 14:6.
Right from the start, the “sharks” struggled, notably with a lackluster attack against a dominant opponent.
“We weren’t in the game from the very start. We conceded goals too easily. There were poor performances from multiple players. We faced some challenges in the second quarter; we need to work on reducing those mistakes. Serbia deserved this win, and I congratulate them. Unfortunately, we couldn’t mitigate the defeat. There’s not much time for analysis, but we need to focus on our final group match,” commented coach Vladimir Gojković after the game.
Montenegro is set to face Japan on Friday at 7 PM. The “Sharks” must win to secure a spot in the round of 16.
If Montenegro defeats Japan, and Serbia wins against the USA, then Vladimir Gojković’s team would advance to the round of 16 in second place.
