Bečić Praises Police Directorate for Thwarting Assassination Attempt

I commend the Police Directorate for their successful operation that thwarted an assassination attempt. Officers from the Regional Centre ‘South’ – Kotor Security Department apprehended three Serbian nationals who are suspected of forming a criminal group under the direction of a Montenegrin national from Nikšić, intending to carry out a targeted killing in Kotor.

The investigation revealed that the suspects meticulously planned the attack: they leased an apartment in Budva, tracked the victim’s movements, and set the scene for the assault. The group’s leader, a Montenegrin national from Nikšić, was also arrested and charged with organized criminal association.

Despite facing numerous challenges, the Police Directorate remains steadfast in its fight against organized crime, delivering a clear message: no criminal organization will escape the law.
