Branko Jovović (51) was apprehended yesterday in Studeno, located in the Danilovgrad municipality, under suspicion of attempting to murder Mirko Vujačić in Bar back in 2020, according to reports from Vijesti.

The Police Department confirmed that Jovović was on the wanted list.

“Officers from the Regional Security Center ‘Centar’ – Danilovgrad Security Department, during their search operations for criminal offenders, located an individual on the national wanted list in the town of Studeno, Danilovgrad Municipality. BJ (51), suspected of attempted murder in Bar in 2020 of a person from Danilovgrad, was identified and arrested,” the statement reads.

Authorities stated that BJ has been placed in custody following a ruling by a judge from the Higher Court in Podgorica, after which he was transferred to the Directorate for the Execution of Criminal Sanctions (UIKS).
