CIRT Delegates at GISEC Global 2025 Event
Representatives from CIRT attended the 14th edition of GISEC Global, one of the foremost cybersecurity events worldwide. The event was held from May 6 to 8, 2025, at the World Trade Centre in Dubai, organized by the UAE Cybersecurity Council, the Dubai Electronic Security Center, the Ministry of Interior, and the Dubai Police.
This year’s GISEC, under the theme “Securing an AI-Powered Future,” attracted over 25,000 information security experts from more than 160 countries, featuring 350 speakers and over 750 global cybersecurity brands. The audience comprised representatives from major corporations, government officials, international innovators, and leading figures in cybersecurity.
During the event, CIRT representatives took part in a global cyber drill organized by the International Telecommunication Union (ITU) in partnership with the UAE Cybersecurity Council. The exercise included four simulated scenarios that reflected current cyber threats, fostering cross-border collaboration and improving response strategies against increasingly sophisticated cyber attacks. Delegations from over 130 national cybersecurity agencies, along with teams from the global CERT/CIRT/CSIRT network, participated in the drill.
The event also established 11 Guinness World Records, including the record for the largest cyber drill ever conducted. This accomplishment underscores the importance of such initiatives in enhancing global cyber resilience and security.
