The leader of the “Zdrav Nikšić – Dr. Zoran Mrkić – Europe Now Movement” stated his dissatisfaction with the outcomes of the local elections in Nikšić.

He mentioned that it remains uncertain whether this list will endorse Marko Kovačević from the For the Future of Nikšić list for the Mayor’s position.

“The results did not meet my expectations. While I am disappointed, we should recognize that no government can be established without our involvement,” Mrkić noted.

He expressed that his personal dissatisfaction stems from not aiming to simply join the government.

“Let’s work towards a significant understanding in addressing the issues that not everyone acknowledges. In the following days, we will determine our future direction and discussions within the party,” he commented.

When asked if he would back Kovačević, he indicated that it would be a natural step considering the coalition at the national level.

“Nonetheless, while we appreciate some actions of the coalition led by Kovačević, we should all take the time to reflect and converse,” added Mrkić, emphasizing that joining the government is not their primary focus.
