“Lions vs. Italy: World Cup Playoff Showdown”

The Montenegro men’s handball team is set to face Italy in a playoff for the World Championship.

This evening in Pescara, Italy secured a 33:31 victory against Belgium in their return match of the pre-qualifications, clinching the playoffs with two wins. They previously defeated Belgium 29:25 in the first match. The “Lions” will play their first playoff game away on May 8 or 9, with the second leg scheduled at home three days later.

The World Cup is set to take place from January 14 to February 2, 2025, across Croatia, Norway, and Denmark.
