In the Senior European Championships held in Yerevan, Montenegrin karateka Nemanja Mikulić secured a silver medal, while Nenad Dulović and Balša Vojinović in wrestling, and Vladimir Mijač in kata, achieved bronze medals.

Today, Mikulić faced Ernest Skaraputdinov from Russia in the final of the 75 kg category and was defeated.

The aspiring karateka from Bijela clinched his first senior European medal by making it to the final round.

Vojinović also captured his inaugural senior medal in the 60 kg category, overcoming Kenan Šiljko from Bosnia and Herzegovina with a score of 2:1 in the battle for third place.

Nenad Dulović earned the bronze medal in the 67 kg category after decisively beating Aleksandar Kapmoala from Moldova with a score of 7:0 in their third-place match.

This marks his third European medal, following last year’s silver in Zadar and a team silver in Poreč. He also boasts a world silver from the championships in Budapest.

The history of Montenegrin karate continued with Vladimir Mijač, who triumphed over Swiss competitor Yuki Ujihara with a score of 40.50 to 40.20 in the bronze medal match.

This achievement marks the first individual kata medal for Montenegrin male karate since the country gained independence.

Mijač will also have a chance to compete for a medal in the kata team event tomorrow, alongside the Montenegrin women’s kata team who will be vying for bronze.
