SDT Believes Baćović Led a Criminal Network Involved in Drug Trafficking, Kidnappings, and Murders

By directive of the Special State Prosecutor’s Office, authorities from the Special Police Department apprehended Miloš Mikica Lalević and Igor Vujošević, residents of Danilov, and have brought criminal charges against them. Additionally, charges were filed against Radomir Boban Baćović, Alen Kurina, and Damir Frljučkić from Nikšić, who are currently evading capture, as well as Vjekoslav Lambulić, who is in custody due to a different criminal case. The charges stem from suspicions regarding their involvement in establishing a criminal organization and committing 15 offenses related to the unauthorized production, possession, and distribution of narcotic drugs.

This information is detailed in a statement from the Special State Prosecutor’s Office.

“Following the interrogation of the detained individuals and the suspect held in another case, the special prosecutor has mandated a detention period of up to 72 hours for ML and IV from the moment of their detention, and has initiated criminal proceedings against all defendants by issuing an order to commence an investigation,” the statement indicates.

The SDT asserts that there is reasonable suspicion that the defendants engaged in these criminal activities based on personal, written, and electronic evidence acquired during the investigation.

The prosecution believes that Baćović was at the helm of a criminal organization, which included the other defendants and other unidentified individuals, aimed at committing serious offenses such as murder, aggravated murder, kidnapping, and the unauthorized production, possession, and trafficking of narcotics…

“Such offenses can result in prison sentences of four years or more, aimed at generating illicit profit and gaining power across Montenegro, Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Croatia, Serbia, Hungary, Turkey, Austria, the Netherlands, Belgium, and other European countries from 2015 to the present. The criminal organization reportedly bought narcotics, specifically marijuana, in Albania on multiple occasions, imported it into Montenegro for sale, and trafficked it through Montenegro, Bosnia and Herzegovina, and Croatia, ultimately targeting sales in Hungary,” the statement elaborates.

Upon the request of the Special State Prosecutor’s Office, the investigating judge ruled to detain the apprehended defendants and recommended the issuance of arrest warrants for those still at large.
