Bayern continues its pursuit of reclaiming the title, but their recent victory (3:1) against Augsburg has raised several concerns. Following the injuries of Alphonse Davies and Dayot Upamecano, it appears the Bavarian club may be without Jamal Musiala for an extended period.

The young talent from Munich clutched his knee at the start of the second half, and early prognosis suggests it’s not favorable. Bayern’s first Champions League quarter-final match against Inter is just around the corner.

“Sadly, the injury doesn’t look promising. Is he set to miss the Inter match? Yes,” stated Max Eberl, the director of the German team.

Augsburg approached the Bavarian Bundesliga derby at the “WWK Arena” in excellent form, remaining unbeaten in their last 11 matches. Riding this momentum, they initially took the lead against Bayern, with Dimitris Gianulis finding the net.

Before his injury, Musiala successfully leveled the score for his team. Bayern then capitalized on a red card issued to Cedric Cesiger, the defender for Augsburg.

Shortly after, Harry Kane netted his 23rd goal of the season, putting Bayern ahead, while an own goal from Chrislem Macima sealed the 3:1 victory in injury time.

This win allowed Bayern to extend their lead to nine points over reigning champions Bayer Leverkusen, with a match still in hand.
