Thanks to the Eco Fund of Montenegro, the Tivat Municipal Enterprise has acquired six semi-underground containers along with spare bags designated for the wet fraction of municipal waste.

The total cost of this procurement is approximately 61,000 euros, with the Eco Fund subsidizing around 41,000 euros and the remainder financed by the Municipality of Tivat’s budget.

A public procurement process is also in progress for a special vehicle designed to empty these semi-underground containers, which will include a hydraulic crane for lifting and emptying. The estimated value of this procurement, funded by the city budget, is 300,000 euros.

The tender for an additional ten semi-underground containers valued at 100,000 euros has already been finalized. Following the arrival of the new vehicle and the completion of geodetic surveys for existing container locations within the city—some of which will transition to semi-underground systems—Komunalno Tivat will implement this new mixed municipal waste collection and removal system after the summer tourist season.
