Leverkusen Claims Victory in Extra Time, Dortmund Secures Dominant Win

Bayer Leverkusen triumphed over Heidenheim with a score of 1:0 in the 28th round of the Bundesliga.

The decisive goal for Leverkusen came from Emiliano Buendia in the first minute of added time during the second half.

Currently, Bayer Leverkusen holds the second position in the league with 62 points, trailing six points behind Bayern Munich, who is at the top. Heidenheim sits in 16th place with 22 points.

In the upcoming round, Bayer will face Union Berlin at home, while Heidenheim will travel to take on Eintracht Frankfurt.

Borussia Dortmund achieved a 4:1 victory against Freiburg away from home.

Karim Adeyemi opened the scoring for Dortmund in the 34th minute, and Karni Chukwuemeka doubled the lead in the 51st minute.

Seru Girassi added a third goal in the 68th minute, and Jamie Gittens capped it off with a fourth in the 79th minute.

Freiburg’s Maximilian Egestein scored a consolation goal in the 88th minute, finalizing the score.

Borussia Dortmund is currently eighth in the league with 41 points, closely followed by Freiburg, who are seventh with 42 points.

Both teams are set to play away in the next round, with Dortmund facing Bayern in Munich and Freiburg taking on Borussia Monchengladbach.

Mainz played to a 1-1 draw against Holstein Kiel at home.

Holstein Kiel took the lead thanks to a goal from Alexander Bernhardsson in the 34th minute, but Nelson Wiper equalized for Mainz in the 75th minute.

Mainz is positioned fourth in the standings with 46 points, while Holstein Kiel is at the bottom in 18th place with 18 points.

Next, Mainz will travel to Sinsheim to face Hoffenheim, whereas Holstein Kiel will host St. Pauli.

RB Leipzig secured a 3:1 win against Hoffenheim at home.

Tom Bischof put Hoffenheim ahead with a goal in the 11th minute, but Benjamin Šeško equalized for Leipzig in the 24th minute.

Leipzig then took the lead with a goal from Ridley Bak in the 43rd minute, and Jusuf Poulsen sealed the victory with a goal in the 84th minute.

Hoffenheim played with 10 men from the 28th minute after Leo Ostigard received a direct red card and had a goal disallowed in the 62nd minute due to offside.

Leipzig occupies the fifth position in the standings with 45 points, while Hoffenheim sits in 14th place with 27 points.

In the next round, Leipzig will visit Wolfsburg, and Hoffenheim will welcome Mainz in Sinsheim.

Stuttgart dominated Bochum with a 4:0 victory.
