Duro’s Late Goal Shocks Real as Valencia Secures Three Points in Madrid

In a stunning twist during the 30th round of La Liga, Valencia pulled off an unexpected victory over Real Madrid, winning 2-1 today in Madrid.

The struggling team grabbed the win with a last-minute goal from Duro, adding pressure to Real’s title ambitions.

Real Madrid now finds itself three points behind Barcelona, who plays against Betis later tonight and has a chance to secure a significant step towards another championship.

The afternoon turned disastrous for Real in the 13th minute when Mbappe was fouled in the penalty area. A penalty was awarded, but Vinicius failed to convert from the spot, with Mamardashvili making a tremendous save.

Just two minutes later, Valencia took the lead when Diakhaby scored from a corner kick, heading the ball into the net.

Real had a goal ruled out for offside, and despite efforts from Bellingham and Mbappe, the score remained unchanged at halftime.

In the 50th minute, Real Madrid equalized. Vinicius found himself unmarked at the far post after a corner, scoring and tying the record of Brazilian Ronaldo for the most goals by a Brazilian in a Real Madrid shirt (104).

Valverde had a chance to secure the win in the closing moments, but in the 95th minute, Duro sealed Valencia’s remarkable performance and shocked the crowd.

Real had a chance to salvage a point afterward, but Ridiger couldn’t capitalize on a great opportunity.

This match will be particularly memorable for Real Madrid’s goalkeeper Fran Gonzalez, who made his debut. At 19 years, nine months, and 10 days, he became the fifth youngest goalkeeper in the club’s history and the youngest to play since the legendary Iker Casillas.
