Vasilije Adžić is making a name for himself in the Juventus U23 team, consistently impressing. Italian media speculate he could rejoin the senior squad as early as next weekend.
The Montenegrin player scored twice in the recent Serie C match against Crotone (4:1) — converting a penalty with a panenka and adding a second from open play. This occurred on the same day an interview with the president of the Football Association of Montenegro, Dejan Savićević, was released in “Tutosport”.
The interview focused on Adžić’s status, which Savićević believes is set for a change.
– If Juve thinks he’s not ready yet, they should loan him to a team where he can start. Atalanta might be too competitive. I would suggest Parma, assuming they avoid relegation. Adžić is a number eight, and I can liken him to Montenegro’s coach Robert Prosinečki, with whom I won the Champions League at Red Star – Savićević said.
According to Savićević, Adžić possesses all the qualities modern football demands.
– He is technically proficient, creative, and physically solid. Adžić is an exceptional talent, a complete player who could become one of Montenegro’s finest. He’s versatile enough to handle various roles, but the key point is he needs to play. In Juventus, in Serie A, not in Serie C, where he’s performing admirably – emphasized Savićević.
Juve’s coach Igor Tudor, who took over from Thiago Motta in Turin about ten days ago, also commented on Adžić, who recently celebrated a historic qualification for the European Championship with Montenegro’s youth national team.
– Vasilije has participated in a few training sessions with us, and I’m pleased with what I observed. He’s a dedicated individual – said the Croatian coach.
Juve faces Roma away tonight, and Adžić might be in the lineup for their next league match on April 12th against Lecce, where Nikola Krstović plays.
