Detention Mandated for Suspect in Assault on Delivery Driver
Following a hearing at the Basic State Prosecutor’s Office in Podgorica, MV has been ordered to remain in detention for up to 72 hours on suspicion of assaulting a Turkish citizen, who works as a delivery driver for “Glovo,” after he refused to pay for the delivered food.
The Podgorica Public Prosecutor’s Office stated that the detention was mandated due to reasonable suspicions that he, acting as an accomplice, committed the offense of violent conduct along with the serious bodily injury offense.
“On March 24, 2025, the suspect and another individual assaulted the Turkish citizen HB, a delivery driver for the company ‘G.’. The assault occurred when HB asked for payment for the food he had delivered. The victim was struck and kicked in the head while lying on the ground, leading to severe bodily injuries,” reported the Podgorica Public Prosecutor’s Office.
