“Difovci Outshine the Current Champion”

The second round of the Meridianbet Student League of Montenegro in basketball brought forth the first loss for the reigning champions, as the Faculty of Science and Mathematics fell to the Faculty of Sport and Physical Education in a highly anticipated Group A derby, with a score of 41:57. This victory marked the second triumph for the Faculty of Sport and Physical Education.

On the winning side, Mornars’ Srđa Bulatović was the standout performer, scoring 12 points. For the defending champions, Maraš contributed 12 points, while Đorđije Tatar added 10 points to the tally.

The Faculty of Civil Engineering also secured their second win of the season, defeating the University of the Mediterranean by a score of 42:30. Luka Rakočević was the match’s standout player, scoring as many points on his own as the entire University of the Mediterranean team combined.

After an initial setback against “Difovo”, the Faculty of Economics bounced back with their first win against the Faculty of Metallurgy and Technology, finishing with a score of 43:24. Novo Rašović led the Faculty of Economics with an impressive 14 points, while Mišurović shone for MTF with a total of 16 points.

The most thrilling match of the round occurred in Group B, where the Faculty of Electrical Engineering faced off against the Faculty of Law. After a closely contested battle, the “lawyers” emerged victorious with a slender margin of 27:26. The Faculty of Electrical Engineering had the chance to clinch the game with a six-second final possession, but were unable to convert. Nikola-Džoni Rondović was the key player for the Faculty of Law, scoring 13 points, while Veljko Vujović also had a significant contribution with 12 points.

The University of Donja Gorica achieved a decisive victory, dominating Studentski dom NK with a score of 84:59. Dušan Vučelić and Lađić led the charge with 30 and 17 points, respectively. For Studentski dom NK, Ćetković and Ćupić stood out with 18 and 16 points. Meanwhile, the Biotechnical Faculty celebrated their first win of the season against the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering, edging out with a score of 48:43. The top performers for the Biotechnical Faculty were Popović with 22 points and Dragašević with 12 points. The only double-digit scorer for the losing team was Jovović, who finished with 14 points.
