Đukanović’s Remarks Highlight the Importance of Strong Ties with the UAE

While the Prime Minister’s statement was not meant to interfere in personal matters, we appreciate Mr. Đukanović’s clarification, which reaffirms the importance of maintaining positive relations with the UAE as a strategic partner for our nation.

This was communicated by the Cabinet of Prime Minister Milojko Spajić in response to today’s remarks made by former President of Montenegro Milo Đukanović, which addressed Prime Minister Spajić’s interview with TVCG.

The Cabinet also stated that “following a period of stagnation and the absence of proper tributes to the late President and Ruler of Abu Dhabi in 2022 at the state level,” groundwork has been established for enhanced cooperation through a new interstate agreement between Montenegro and the UAE “for our mutual benefit.”
