The Montenegrin youth national football team secured a 1:0 victory against the Hungarian national team in a friendly match held today in Budapest.

Andrej Kostić netted the winning goal in the 60th minute.

Coach Nenad Vukčević expressed his satisfaction with both the performance and the outcome.

He highlighted the team’s misfortunes in the first half, where several players reported injuries, necessitating substitutions.

“This caused a delay in our rhythm. During that time, Hungary took the initiative, but they only managed one significant opportunity. As the game progressed, we improved, particularly in terms of tactics, leaving Hungary unable to threaten us. Our play was strong and confident; we created multiple chances and converted one into a goal through Kostić,” Vukčević noted.

He also remarked on the notable improvement of the team compared to their performance against Luxembourg in February.
