“It Will Be a Different Match Against Greece; I Would Have Preferred Playing the Hungarians”
The significant loss of the Montenegrin water polo team to Spain (15:8) means they will now compete for third place in the World Cup qualifying tournament.
The “Sharks” struggled against the European champions, a reality acknowledged by coach Dejan Savić.
“Once again, we exhibited considerable fluctuations; at times, we seemed lost in our offensive strategy. Our selection of shots and solutions was inadequate. Nevertheless, it was valuable for us to compete against formidable teams,” stated Savić.
The team is set to face Greece on Sunday at 16:30.
“I had hoped to be facing Hungary, as that would mean we had overcome all the challengers in this tournament. We will see how we approach the match against Greece, but I anticipate a vastly different game compared to the one at the beginning of the tournament,” added Savić.
