A fresh year and a promising Future! Under Bojana Popović’s leadership, the team celebrated their inaugural victory of the season in the Champions League, triumphing against Vipers in “Morača” by a score of 26:20 (13:9).

In their first match since November 17, the Buducnost handball players displayed speed, enthusiasm, and moments of brilliance, albeit with occasional lapses in judgement. Nevertheless, they frequently earned applause from the relatively small crowd against the renowned trophy-winning club from Norway.

From Armel Atingra’s phenomenal performance in goal, which made Katrin Lunde’s remarkable skills on the opposite side almost invisible, to every teammate on the court—each gave their all, working seamlessly in defense and launching incisive attacks.

Despite the numerous challenges faced by the club over the past year, Budućnost demonstrated its potential for a brighter future.

After drawing against Đer, the “blues” now have four points following the 9th round, while Vipers remain at seven points.

Jelena Vukčević led the “blue” team with seven goals, while Godeč added four, and both Pavićević and Radivojević contributed three goals each.

On the Vipers side, Abing was the standout scorer with eight goals, followed by Freriks with three.
