The Electric Power Company of Montenegro (EPCG) has finalized four significant contracts aimed at enhancing transport infrastructure and modernizing work processes in Pluzine. This initiative will further solidify the company’s role as a pioneer in the nation’s energy and industrial transformation, according to their announcement.
EPCG revealed that one of its major infrastructure initiatives is the upcoming second phase of the roundabout construction in the Plužine area.
“With an investment value of 8.46 million euros, this project demonstrates a serious commitment to modernizing the region, with construction handled by BEMAX. It will not only improve traffic flow in Plužine but also create new opportunities for local economic development,” the statement indicated.
The company noted that to ensure operational efficiency, EPCG is investing in state-of-the-art equipment.
“Our contract with Eurozox from Danilovgrad will enable the acquisition of a mobile crushing plant, valued at 544.5 thousand euros, which will significantly enhance material processing and expedite project timelines,” the announcement continued.
Additions to their inventory include a hydraulic crawler excavator, which EPCG highlighted as a game changer for construction sites.
This machinery, priced at 254.1 thousand euros, will be procured under a contract with TEKNOXGROUP Montenegro.
“Its capacity to tackle the most challenging terrains will make it an indispensable asset for upcoming projects,” EPCG stated.
The company emphasized the necessity of efficient logistics for the successful execution of these investments. Consequently, EPCG is investing 222.6 thousand euros in a dump truck and a low-loader trailer, facilitated by a contract with BEN-KOV from Tivat.
“This acquisition will streamline the transportation of machinery and equipment, enhancing our operational efficiency,” the statement noted.
Executive Director of EPCG, Ivan Bulatović, underscored that each investment marks a progressive step for the development of Montenegro, particularly in regions where the company has production facilities.
“Our goal is to continually elevate standards and invest in the future, as we understand that this is the only way to ensure an energy-stable and economically thriving Montenegro,” Bulatović stated.
The signing ceremony was attended by the President of the Municipality of Plužine, Slobodan Delić, who highlighted the significance of these projects for the local community and its further development.
