“The Moment for the ‘Hidden Celebration’ Has Arrived”

Jimmy Skular raised the FA Cup trophy at Wembley in 1955, followed by Bobi Monkour who claimed the Inter-Cities Fairs Cup in 1969 (the predecessor of the UEFA Cup/Europa League). A lot of time passed before Newcastle fans, known for their loyalty, could once again celebrate in style.

“Party Tyne” was the catchy title featured in “Mirora,” hinting at the clear message of thrilling festivities gearing up in the northeast of England.

Newcastle finally achieved success as Eddie Howe and his crew taught the future champions Liverpool a crucial football lesson, winning 2-1 in the League Cup final, and bringing the first domestic trophy to St. James’ Park in seven decades, marking their first in 56 years when counting European competitions.

Bruno Guimarães, as captain, stood proudly alongside those legendary figures from the start of this journey.

– I often imagined what it would be like to lift the trophy, and it turned out much more beautiful than I could have ever envisioned, – said the talented Brazilian.

Dream Days for a Local Hero

Bruno had the honor of lifting the trophy, while the local giant from Blyth, Dan Burn, emerged as a key player.

The defender, who had a long journey before signing for his beloved Newcastle at 29, is now enjoying the pinnacle of his career at 32.

Just days earlier, he received his first call-up to the England national team, and his header got the party started for Newcastle against Liverpool at Wembley.

– I don’t want to wake up from this dream, but don’t worry, I’ll be the first one at the national team training tomorrow, – Burn humorously noted.

How a 176 cm Player Marked a 200 cm Player

Burn’s goal, a predictable event, came earlier in the match as he marked Liverpool’s Alexis McAllister, who stands at 176 cm during a corner kick.

Liverpool’s coach Arne Slott attempted to clarify the situation, with the BBC labeling his explanation as “enlightening.”

– We placed five players around our goal. If the ball goes there, we have our strongest players ready to contend. Normally, an opponent would invade that area, except for Dan, whom I have never seen head the ball from such a distance (12 meters) with such force into the far corner. It’s a rarity that leads to a goal, – stated Slot.

Eddie Howe: From Survival to Glory

The resurgence of Newcastle as a formidable force in English football is attributed not only to the significant financial backing from their Saudi owners but also to Eddie Howe.

The London-born coach took the helm in November 2021, when the team was grappling with the threat of relegation. By season’s end, he had successfully transformed the squad, steering them clear of danger.

In subsequent years, Howe reinvigorated the club, reclaiming their spot in the Champions League, and now they’ve finally captured that elusive cup, positioning the “Magpies” for potential UEFA glory through league play.

– After such a long wait for this trophy, I’m sure it will be a moment everyone cherishes, – remarked Howe, who is currently being compared to legends such as Sir Alex Ferguson and Bobby Robson.

Newcastle has finally accomplished their goal, and it’s time to celebrate…

Salah’s Mixed Final Record

As Liverpool is poised to secure a record 20th English championship title come May, all credit goes to Mohamed Salah.

The forward, who has netted 29 goals and provided 27 assists in the last 17 rounds, faces challenges when it comes to finals.

The Egyptian star has played in nine finals with both Liverpool and his national team, with only two of those resulting in direct contributions.

He first assisted in the Africa Cup of Nations final in 2017 (where Egypt lost to Cameroon 2:1), and two years later, he scored the crucial penalty in the Champions League final against Tottenham (2:0).

Beyond these moments, he has had little impact, and he notably has never scored at Wembley.
