Bayern Presses On for the Title as Leipzig Falls Behind; Goetze Propels Eintracht Forward

Bayern Munich triumphed over Sankt Pauli with a score of 3:2 today at home during the 27th round of the Bundesliga, extending their lead at the top of the table by six points.
The hosts opened the scoring with Harry Kane finding the net in the 17th minute, but Elias Sad brought Sankt Pauli back into the match with an equalizer in the 27th minute. Leroy Sane then secured the win for Bayern with two goals in the 53rd and 71st minutes, while Lars Rika scored a late consolation in the third minute of injury time.
With this victory, Bayern ended a two-match winless streak, now boasting 20 wins and sitting at the top of the standings with 65 points, six points clear of second-placed Bayer Leverkusen.
Sankt Pauli faced their 16th defeat of the season and remains just above the relegation zone in 15th place with 25 points.
In another match, Borussia Monchengladbach secured a 1-0 victory over Leipzig at home, thanks to a goal from Alassane Plea in the 56th minute.
Monchengladbach currently occupies fifth place with 43 points, while Leipzig trails by just one point, sitting in sixth.
Heidenheim pulled off a 1-0 away victory against Wolfsburg, with Marvin Piringer converting a penalty in the 16th minute. This marks Heidenheim’s second consecutive win and their sixth overall in the league, placing them 16th and in the relegation play-off spot with 22 points.
Wolfsburg, on the other hand, is winless in their last three matches and sits ninth with 38 points after their second loss.
In other results, Hoffenheim drew 1-1 with Augsburg at home, while Werder Bremen secured a 3-0 win against Holstein Kiel away.
Eintracht lies third at least until Sunday following their victory over Stuttgart with a score of 1-0, now holding three points and one match more than Mainz.
The lone goal of the match was scored by Mario Götze.
