Violence Erupts at Podgorica School: Parent Assaults Educator – News Update

An incident occurred at the “Vuk Karadzic” Elementary School in Podgorica when a parent physically confronted an educator. The Council for the Rights of Children of the Government of Montenegro, including Minister of Sports and Youth Dragoslav Šćekić, has addressed this situation.

“We express our deep concern regarding the incident in Podgorica, where a parent resorted to physical aggression. We condemn any form of violence, particularly against educators, who play a crucial role in our children’s education and upbringing,” stated the announcement.

The Council calls on the relevant authorities to thoroughly investigate this matter without delay, ensuring accountability and taking all necessary legal actions to protect educators’ rights.

“We urge the entire community to act responsibly and for the competent institutions to guarantee the protection of children’s rights to receive quality education in a safe environment,” the statement concluded.
