Beginning today in Belgrade, followed by Split in mid-April, the Premier regional water polo league is gearing up for its final matchups. The initial games for positions from 1st to 5th place will take place from today through Friday in Serbia’s capital.
The Montenegrin champions, Jadran, are also competing in the Top 5 clubs. They are set to participate in two matches during the first tournament—today (Wednesday) at 18:30 against Novi Belgrade, one of Europe’s top teams, and tomorrow at 20:15 against Crvena zvezda.
Under the guidance of coach Petra Radanović, the team starts their journey in the fourth position with two points.
The Premier League’s final stage is structured into three quality groups based on standings from the first part of the season. In addition to the Top 5, match placements will also occur for positions 6th to 8th and 9th to 12th.
Furthermore, a tournament for the regional A1 league will be held for placements from 11th to 13th, with Budva facing Taš on Friday at 19:00.
The third Montenegrin representative, Primorac from Kotor, has already secured their return to the Premier League by winning the A1 League.
