Jadran Suffers Second Loss in Belgrade
The Jadran water polo team was unable to replicate their impressive performance from the match against Novi Beograd, where they were level for nearly three and a half quarters last night.
The European vice-champions triumphed with a score of 15:13, marking the second defeat for Novljan in the regional Premier League tournament, as Crvena zvezda emerged victorious with a score of 14:12.
Throughout the match, the Montenegrin champions struggled to keep pace, with Zvezda establishing their largest lead of 12:7 just five minutes before the third quarter concluded.
Seven minutes later, the score stood at 14:10, but Petar Radanović’s team managed to improve their performance in the final moments, bringing the score to 14:12. However, they squandered a chance to level the game with a man advantage, missing an attack with just 80 seconds remaining.
Uroš Vučurović, Danilo Radović, Ivan Nagaev, and Strahinja Gojković each scored twice, while Dmitrij Holod, Martin Gardašević, and Vasilije Radović contributed with single goals.
For Zvezda, both Marko Radović and the former young representative of Montenegro, Gavril Subotic, stood out as the top scorers with four goals apiece.
